Not getting much fishing in at the moment, but another hour here and there is at least keeping the species coming. My 4g / 2lb outfit pretty much lives in the car at the moment. An unplanned session in Langstone Harbour was starting to look good before the fun police told us to clear off. And then a quick visit to Gosport gave lots of visuals on various fish species (big and small). Nice to see the Tompots have moved back in around Portsmouth, and EPIC numbers of Smelt seemingly everywhere – and we all know what eats Smelt :0D

That’s a Rock Goby, Keith. Nearly always have a yellow or orange fringe to the dorsal.

Many thanks. Caught a common blenny this week, didn’t realise what a sharp nip they can give you. Really enjoying schoolboy fishing on such light tackle.

Haha. Yes! A slippery, flexible body and bolt-cutting beak is a wicked combination. Catches us all out from time to time :0) Glad you’re enjoying it Keith
