Hard Going
While the bigger fish targets have been pretty obliging since lockdown eased, the typical, smaller LRF species have felt a bit thin on the ground at times. Species count is going well, but the volume of fish doesn’t seem to be there yet. Perhaps that’s to do with mating duties. I caught a Corkwing last week that was still full of eggs (carefully released).
Scorpo Time
Still seems a bit slow down on the central south coast, but I’ve only been a few times. Having said that, it feels like a good time to snag a Sea Scorpion.
Perch on Pink Bug-ga
Decent canal Perch caught on a bright pink HTO Bug-ga creature.
Light Lure Ruffe
Of course I love the Perch, but the Ruffe certainly wins on cool points from a light lure perspective.
Plaice Fishing With Isome
By all accounts, it’s been a good year for Plaice on the South Coast. Good quantities of fish means better chances of catching them on lures as these colourful flatfish compete with each other.
