I’ve started carrying digital scales once again! It’s been a while since my thoughts have focused on record mini species but I returned to a spot where the gobies grow big without pressure from other aquatic predators. I didn’t find a record-breaker this time but enjoyed catching some lumps. They’re so predatory when they reach this size!
British Record Black Goby is currently 63 grams. And the Rock Goby is 35 grams.
