Celebrated my 49th fish species on artificials by taking some incredibly dull photos of this Painted Goby. At least this photo shows the characteristic ‘saddles’ on the back.
New PB Rock Goby caught while fishing the Cornish Lure Festival. Measured 13.5cm, which I believe is at the top of their known size range. A real bulldog of a goby and in fine fettle.
Granted, not the hardest fish to identify, but I found this nice photograph of a Rock Goby showing the key attributes useful in identifying this species;
