There’s now a huge choice of LRF fishing rods and deciding which rod to buy is a very personal decision. Solid-tip or tubular? 8ft, 7ft, 6ft, or even the latest trend of butt-less, featherweight, 5-footers? Parabolic or extra fast action? Duplon or cork? Screw-up or screw-down? SiC or Torzite? Heads up. Savage Gear have entered a new range of light lure fishing rods in the 2013 EFTTEX Awards. While these Light ‘Range’ Fishing rods aren’t directly cites as LRF rods, they were apparently inspired by the light rock fishing scene and are likely to be just the ticket for LRF. More
New toy alert part 2! I didn’t need a new LRF rod and I certainly wouldn’t normally opt for a long (8′ 6″), heavy (to 10g), tubular tipped rod, but the money was right and in the spirit of my favourite saying of the moment – you don’t know what you don’t know – I went for something well out of my norm.
