Matt and the team over at Prime Angling have been super busy finding all the latest and greatest lure fishing tackle over in Japan. It’s been a while since I did one of these so I thought I’d try and pull out some special items that grabbed my eye. Here goes:

Daiwa Morethan hardbaits – Underrated, as lack of marketing support here. Anything with ‘laser impact’ kills when you need flash
Jackall Bigbacker Fit Jig – Do I need another metal? One with eyes on the assists? Yes, yes I do!
Pro Marine Run&Gun Clear Bucket – Man-sized viewing tank or livebait bucket – handy line to retrieve water safely
Yamashita Squid Jigs – I know Matt went all-in, but don’t wait until the season. Going to be super popular again
Pro Marine Clear Observe Viewing Tank – the OG JDM viewing tank
Daiwa Seabass Jig head – Have been using these for a while. Daiwa heads are hit and miss. These are boss level. Perfect for darting
Jackall Hiei – A do-very-little sub-surface lure for when less is more. I don’t buy many bass lures in Japan but I bought one of these!
Daiichiseiko Itokuzu Winder – Have had one of these forever. Cool little trash can for line. Hides evidence of your wind-knots in seconds!
Shimano 22 SEPHIA BB C3000SDH – Are you even squid fishing if you don’t have a dedicated squid fishing reel?!
