A pretty squid caught on a silver HTO Shore Jig metal with twin assist hooks. Despite not being the recommended approach, I seem to catch quite a few squid and cuttlefish on metal jigs. Perhaps because I nearly always have assist hooks on the back. As ever with squid, don’t strike. Increase the resistance using the rod and reel. You’ll know if there’s squid or cuttle around if you feel added weight coming on and off softly, without head-shakes.
