The AquaWave Mushi is not new to this website. It’s one of my favourite lures for lots of species when the conditions allow me to throw tiny lures and jig-heads. I got that chance again recently and set about seeing what species I could catch.

Straight Lures For Ruffe
Straight lures, i.e lures that don’t feature a paddle / bobble / huddle type tail, can prove advantageous when targeting Ruffe.
Light Rock Fishing in Zante
A nice early break in Zante, Greece offered some great Light Rock Fishing opportunities with a range of species, all to light lure.
Rock Goby on AquaWave Ami
Had fun sight casting to these little fellas in shallow water, under torch-light. Despite sub 10C water temp they reacted aggressively to the little AquaWave Ami when jigged.
Autumn Perch Fishing Underway
The leaves are mostly down and my Autumn perch fishing is well underway on the Kennet & Avon Canal.
Canal Bycatch
Today’s canal bycatch. A handsome Ruffe and a glam silver-fish – most likely a Roach. Both on the Aquawave Straight 2.8 in pearl white.
Baillons Wrasse at Swanage Pier
It’s taken me a while to catch a Baillon’s Wrasse at Swanage Pier, but on Friday I did it in style, catching a beautiful little Baillons on an AquaWave Mushi creature.
