Very happy with this one today. Fished ‘slightly’ bigger because of the windy conditions and it inadvertently paid off with this beautiful 40cm Perch. My best (longest) from the Kennet and Avon for some time. It went 2lb 10 on the scales.

Great day on the K&A with Chris today. Lots of variation in water clarity between stretches. We capitalised in the clearer water using a variety of lures.
Back on the K&A
With the competition scene pretty much over for the year, it was really nice to get back on my local stretch of the Kennet and Avon canal to mess around with some new lures, relax and have some fun.
LRF Night Game
Drove down to Portsmouth last night to catch up with Dan and Chris. Would have been rude not to do a little Night Game.
Rainy night but wind was much lower than forecast. Fairly pleasant. 6 species in total. Bonus was a little Bass that beat the Pollack to a white Aqua Straight OTD.
As ever, find floodlights for the most fun.
Alderney 24 Hour Lure Only Species Hunt 2014
The weather gods were not best pleased with the group of anglers that ventured out to fish the 2014 Alderney 24 Hour Lure Only Species Hunt. Strong easterly winds hampered everyone’s progress the whole weekend but did nothing to dampen everyone’s enthusiasm. Alderney has a lot to offer, even in tough conditions.
