A few pictures I wasn’t able to share at the time, while I was testing the HTO Stink Pots lures ahead of launch. More

Really feels like LRF is firing now. More
More Species Showing
Not getting much fishing in at the moment, but another hour here and there is at least keeping the species coming. More
Scorpo Smackdown
Had quite a nostalgic day yesterday fishing a few marks in Portsmouth that I used to fish as a boy. I was on my tod, so moved around a bit as the feeling took me. As it happened, it was a Scorpion Fish kind of day. More
Wrasse Fishing Start Point
Spent the long weekend in Start Bay, Devon and I must say it was beautiful. Although I didn’t get much fishing in, I did have a quick go for the wrasse south of Start Point. What an amazing looking spot. The areas of coarse sand between the many rocky outcrops made me excited at the prospects of what other species may be present. As did the visible shoals of sandeel. I look forward to returning at a later date with more time to fish the area.
Poole Quay LRF
Stopped off at Poole Quay on my way back from wrasse fishing further south. Of course I had an LRF rod in the car! More
Night Game Poole Quay
A 90 minute Night Game session at Poole Quay resulted in some good fun with the local Pollack population. All fish were caught in the top third of the water column. A couple of big Smelt even managed to inhale the size 8.
Best of all, and what really gave me payback for braving the drizzle was witnessing ragworm spawning on the surface. I’ve only ever seen this once before and never as clearly as this. Couldn’t understand why they weren’t getting smashed by the Pollack.
April Wrasse Fishing
Enjoyable day on the Dorset coast with Dan and Chris. While the wrasse fishing is still only a fraction of what it will be in the next couple of months, it still felt rewarding. Each of us caught. Creature baits were the key. Crystal clear water conditions. You can’t beat the ‘tonk’ of a bite from a Ballan Wrasse. I’m an addict!
