Winter LRF continuing in earnest with some perch fishing in my local stretch of canal. An increase in air temperature after the recent cold snap seemed to get them going and I managed 6 in an hour or so. Nothing massive but still good fun on light tackle. Lures used were Ecogear Bug Ants and Lip Ripperz Trout Wormz.

PB Lure Caught Flounder
An hours impromptu LRFing in Weymouth yesterday, led to this nice looking flounder – a PB for me on the lure.
Regular LRF Meets
It’s starting to feel like there’s a good number of regular LRF meets springing up around the country. Plus I’ve had a handful of requests from anglers starting out and wanting to get some real-world help and advice. With that in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to list the regular LRF meetings with the hope of helping those people out.
Shout out to you guys and girls really… If you know of, run, or are a member of a regular UK LRF meet, please let me know and I’ll host a list on the site. Cheers.

Loving Luke Fox’s work. Another great video capturing Cornwall’s LRF vibe. More here: TheBayAreaLRF
Dean Pilgrim’s Review of GL Nuovo 76-842UL-T-AL
A little while back I highlighted a very special LRF rod from Graphiteleader – the Graphiteleader Finezza Nuovo 76-842UL-T-AL – a rod that can transform from 7’6″ to 8’4″ without the need to tackle down and with the style and finesse you’d expect from a top Japanese rod manufacturer.
Anyway, Dean Pilgrim was blessed with being the first UK angler to wield the thing and get it bent into a fish or two. As promised, here’s his excellent review.
