Had a bit of fun up Southampton Water last week chasing mini Bass on soft plastics.
Escaped the wind and fished for what was in front of me, which turned out to be a handful of mini bass. I used a sub-gram jig head and a Reins Aji Meat lure to catch them. Flicked out as far as I could with a 5 gram rated, tubular lure rod. Method was slow retrieve over the bladderwrack.
