Certainly one of the coolest things I saw in any of the Japanese tackle shops I visited was this vending machine.
You probably already know that vending machines are everywhere in Japan, so it was no surprise to see one in a tackle shop. However it soon became clear that this one held great goodness within.
For 500 yen (about 3 quid), you receive a plastic ‘egg’ – pretty standard. But within these eggs are the most amazing gifts. A range of quality trout spoons with Anime girls printed on one side. A very Japanese tackle experience.
If Carlsberg did Kinder Eggs.
