Okay, it’s closed season, but this bycatch Brown Trout was very welcome after a drought (fish not rain!)
After putting some time in the sea lately and failing to locate feeding fish, I needed a pick me up. A couple of hours in Newbury while the missus did some shopping was just the ticket. Not the Perch or Chub I planned for but the handsome fish was welcome all the same.
Lure was a tiny 1-inch Berkley PowerBait Micro Nymph – a lure that to date has been neglected. Looking forward to using these again as we approach spring (both FW & SW).
