Fund raising for the 2013 Salon des Peches en Mer show continues and Dan has also posted his Graphiteleader Calzante EX on eBay, as he plans to upgrade this year. This is what he has to say about it:
You are looking at a Graphite Leader Calzante solid tip ultra light lure rod. Model no GOCAXS-762UL-S rated for lures 0.5g – 6g and 2-4lb line. This is an ultra sensitive LRF or Light Rock Fishing rod. I have had this rod a touch less than a year and had a ball catching all sorts with it, from Bream to Bass, Gobies to Mackerel this rod has put a smile on my face plenty of times. As a harbour rod to sniff out mini-species it’s perfect, I have also taken LRF mullet on this rod as the super sensitive tip allows a fish to take a lure without feeling any resistance. For seasoned LRF’ers this works best as a jig head or dropshot tool.
With Fuji guides and reel seat and a lovely finish this rod looks more expensive than it really is and is actually Graphite Leaders entry level rod but will still set you back £130ish new.Condition is practically perfect, no blemishes or scratches only the handle gives away the fact it’s been used! I am only selling to upgrade, if i had to keep this rod for another season I wouldnt be upset!
As I remember it, Dan and I fought over this rod in the Plymouth Art of Fishing shop – we both thought it had the perfect action for our style of fishing around piers and jetties, but they only had one left! Dan won :0(
