The fund raising for Nantes 2013 has commenced and Dan has posted his beloved Solpara on eBay. This is what he has to say about it:
You are looking at the Major Craft Solpara sps-t732m ultra light spinning rod. The fast growing Light Rock Fishing has introduced lots of funky rods into the UK and this was one of the original sensibly priced LRF rods. Rated at 0.5 to 7 grams its the perfect tool for learning the LRF ropes and equally at home on the canal targeting Perch with small lures. This is the 7′ 3″ version with tubular tip, is in excellent condition and comes supplied with original bag. If you are looking to scratch the LRF itch or simply want to add some finesse to your fishing then the Solpara is a great place to start.
As Dan says, a great LRF rod if you’re starting out or don’t want to take things too serious (ie. £200 serious!). Will keep you happy for a good few seasons. Japanese calibre. Recommended.
