Tackle Box
Tackle boxes are a key item of equipment for the LRF angler. Staying organised while travelling light. Whether you need a small accessories box to hold your swivels, split shot and lure clips, or you want to go all-in with a large slit foam case displaying every JDM jig head you own, there’s a plastic box that fits your needs. Of all the manufacturers, Meiho stands out as the largest supplier of lure boxes – especially for rockfishers. They have a huge range of products in every perceivable size, colour and style. Some branded as Meiho, other boxes branded by more familiar tackle manufacturers, such as Daiwa.

2015 Daiwa France Goodies
I love Daiwa France. In Europe, they’re the closest link we have to the wonderful world of Daiwa Japan.
Hookers French Boxes
Check out these ultra cool tackle boxes from French Touch Fishing.
Let’s face it, technology can only go so far with a bits box. So when you choose one, might as well get one from a brand you love. For me, it doesn’t get a lot cooler than FTF’s Hookers brand.
Gear Of The Year 2014
Promised myself I would share my favourite gear of the year as we approach the end of 2014. And what a year it’s been! UK lure fishing has gone from strength to strength. LRF seemed to explode. Feels almost commonplace in some areas now. We gained a lure fishing series that saw our techniques and tackle tested. And more mainstream tackle manufacturers tried to get in on the act. So what did I like and why?
Meiho Liquid Packs
With species hunt season upon us (Cornish Lure Festival this weekend), flavoured baits like Marukyu Isome, EcogearAqua and Gulp become more important in the quest for extra species. Carrying these baits and the smelly liquid they come suspended in, isn’t without its problems. The fish attracting properties of these liquids does not appear to extend to loved ones!
