Weymouth Christmas LRF Species Hunt
Hats off to Andy Mytton for a first class LRF competition and meet-up, drawing in anglers from all over the country. Huge turn-out for any time of year (I think it was 34), but for December, with 40mph winds roaring away it was exceptional. Lots and lots of friendly faces, plus a few new to the saltwater side of light lure. Everyone appeared to be having fun.
Flounder at Ilfracombe
Always pleasant to snag a flatfish. This Flounder came from the commercial jetty at Ilfracombe, at high tide. Only other fish to be caught were Common Blenny.
Night Games at West Bay
Saturday night saw me hatching a plan to administer a Flounder smackdown. Wedged between my Lulworth wrasse-a-thon in the morning and the Bristol BLAC qualifier the next day, I settled on West Bay, in Dorset.
