New braid for a new reel. Have filled this little Abu Revo Premier with the rather luxurious feeling YGK G-Soul PE in 0.3 (5lb). This combo will be used for UL duties, both freshwater and salt.

I always recommend that newcomers to LRF invest the lions share of their budget in a quality ultra-thin line – it makes a massive difference to catch rate. But I’m also sympathetic to the fact that not everyone can afford £30 for 100m of Japanese high tech braid. Step in Tronixpro once again. More
I’m onto my third spool of Varivas Light Game PE braid. I’ve used this 0.3 PE braid since I started LRF. It lives permanently on my 2500 Stella and has landed some lovely fish. More
Berkley Nanofil is now available in 3 colours. In addition to the White Mist, you can now get Lime Green and Dark Green variants. Have seen mixed feedback on Nanofil as an LRF line but it’s certainly an affordable, thin line with low stretch and great sensitivity.
