LRF in Dorset Echo
Always really pleased to see individuals leading the light rock fishing revolution and raising the profile of our sport. Hats off to Will Harding and the Weymouth LRF massive for getting light rock fishing into the Dorset Echo newspaper – in print and online!
After a number of events and meetings recently, it looks like Weymouth is set up as the hub for Dorset LRF – they’ve got some great venues too. Hopefully I can get down and fish one of the weekly meets one time.

Lure Heaven UK Species Hunt
Summer appears to be slipping away on the south coast, so I thought I better put in some effort for the Lure Heaven UK species hunt. Luckily the Corkwing are still in residence at pretty much every seaward mark we fish in Portsmouth – they won’t be for too much longer. Then a change of mark presented me with seemingly a sea of Black Goby but I did fluke out my first Dragonet of the year – good for the comp and my yearly species tally.
Match The Hatch
Sunday saw Dan and I fish a mark in Portsmouth that we’ve fished countless times before but that didn’t stop us learning something about the movements of the resident Bass population.
