What a sensational run for the lightest HTO Tic Tac! HTO’s 3g Tic Tac is a micro metal jig which really proved itself this last week, catapulting it to one of my favourite lures of all time. Looking at the stats it’s easy to see why.

Beat my personal best Shanny (Common Blenny) with one measuring 17.5cm, caught in a rockpool in South Wales.

Butterfly Blenny
NEW SPECIES! I’m calling it early… This will be my fish of the year. Dream fish. Butterfly Blenny (Blennius ocellaris). 9cm of grown-men-jumping-around-for-joy!
Scad Madness
It’s that time of year once again. The Scad (Horse Mackerel) have descended on the South Coast in numbers and offer great sport for the light lure angler. I’ve already had good sport on the boat during the daytime and from the shore at night. Have a go for them if you can.
Huge LRF Bass
A great LRF capture. Probably my biggest LRF Bass to date. This 61cm (fork) fish weighing approximately 6lb fell to a tiny 12g HTO Shore Jig in Scad colour.
Catching Baillon’s Wrasse
Caught a couple of beautiful Baillon’s Wrasse from the boat using the new C-map Reveal charts to find a suitable hole in the reef. Used a short dropshot rig presenting a small piece of Gulp Slim Sandworm just off the bottom.
