Nice to land a Corkwing on a pure plastic at the weekend – especially a Bug Ant. Definitely a 9/10 for cool.

Very happy with this one. Went walkabouts yesterday and managed to find a stretch of the K&A with a decent Pike in residence.
Ruffe in the Jungle
Have been waiting a while for this one. Another example of a session when the smallest fish was the most rewarding. I was jumping up and down after landing this one!

PB LRF Pollack of 4lb 14oz. Caught inshore working an Ecogear Aqua Milfle on my HR UL. A lot of fun. Hopefully the seal we saw has left a few for the coming weeks!
Early Spawning Perch
Despite Perch traditionally spawning April-May time, our mild winter and warm conditions over this weekend’s full moon appear to have got my local Perch excited. I had a few Perch like this on Sunday showing signs of spawning: bloated, red tinged body, swollen vent, milky colour on head.
Jack Pike
A good number of small Pike on the K&A this weekend. Not always like that on my local stretch, but very welcome on light gear.
One For The Scrapbook
Sorry, this is a bit of a ‘me me me’ post. But I was extremely delighted to discover that through a bizarre, but highly enjoyable chain of events I have somehow ended up on the back cover of the 2014 Breaden Japan catalogue (albeit very small). What a privilege!
