The Aquawave Shad 1.3 is probably my most successful lure for catching Ruffe. Apart from just being small, the 1.3″ Shad is extremely supple and buoyant, so I think it helps the Ruffe engulf the lure more easily.

Corkwing with Anilocra Parasite
I captured this poor Corkwing Wrasse that was host to a fairly large Anilocra parasite – a type of isopod. Was able to carefully remove the parasite and release the fish.
Nano Metal Wrasse
With so much fry around, ‘nano metals’ are working well locally. This little Ballan took a shine to the tiny 3.5g Shimano Soare TG Ace.
LRF Topknot
A true highlight. My first Topknot by any method. Caught in Plymouth area on Ecogear Aqua, fished on a 0.7g jighead. Absolutely delighted.
Scorpionfish at Mevagissey
A couple of scorpionfish, or Long-spined sea scorpion from Mevagissey harbour in July.
Tompot on Ecogear Aqua Straight
Nice Tompot Blenny caught on an Ecogear Aqua Katsu Aji Straight in A07 Natural Pearl Glow and 0.7g jig head.
Night Game Scad
Nice to get some ‘Aji Action’ tonight with Scad falling for lots of different lure fishing methods after dark. Seen here on the HTO measure.
Giant Goby on AquaWave Ami
Had a bit of a battle with this bruiser. A decent Giant Goby found in a boulder field at low tide, in Cornwall. Fooled the brute with an AquaWave Ami in Sodium colour.
