Canal Bycatch
Today’s canal bycatch. A handsome Ruffe and a glam silver-fish – most likely a Roach. Both on the Aquawave Straight 2.8 in pearl white.
Baillons Wrasse at Swanage Pier
It’s taken me a while to catch a Baillon’s Wrasse at Swanage Pier, but on Friday I did it in style, catching a beautiful little Baillons on an AquaWave Mushi creature.
Ruffe on Neko Rig
Boom! Big cool-points score with this one. A stunning little Ruffe caught using a scaled-down Neko rig.
Rock Goby on Jig Head
Must admit, quite enjoy catching gobies by Jighead method. Not easy, so rewarding once you get the action right. Lure here is the Ecogear Aqua Shirasu.
Another Ruffe on Aquawave Shad
Ruffe with attitude! Another one for the Aquawave Shad.
Ruffe on White Aquawave Shad
The Aquawave Shad 1.3 is probably my most successful lure for catching Ruffe. Apart from just being small, the 1.3″ Shad is extremely supple and buoyant, so I think it helps the Ruffe engulf the lure more easily.
