On a recent road-trip to Devon, one of my targets was my first Devonshire Rock Cook. I’m extremely pleased to say I accomplished that at a popular South Devon rock mark. Tactics were my standard small wrasse approach. A short dropshot rig to keep the lure just above the rocks and weed. And whatever flavoured worm bait takes your fancy. I was using Gulp Sandworm this day. Searching for the beautiful, blue Rock Cook gets exciting when you start catching Goldsinny, as the pair of mini-species appear to favour the same habitats.
