There were some super special rods at the show this year, but the Reins Aji Ringer Expert was hyper special.
The tag line, ‘Absolute Sensitivity Custom Solid Tip’ is apt. This is a hyper tuned tool. A rating of 0.2-3g isn’t going to suit many situations. But true to Japanese methodology, it’s designed to be absolutely perfect for those situations it does. It’s crisp for such a light rod.
It was a privilege to waggle such a thing. It’s probably not something I would ever own (never say never), but there’s something about these dedicated Japanese tools.

Hi Guys,
Seriously thinking of getting one of these. My mind is battling between this Reins and 34 Advancement PSR (0-1.8g).
Q: How does the tip of this Reins rod compare with the 7’2′ rod?
Is it more supple?
Thanks for any advice mate.

How are you getting on, Nicholas? Have you decided which rod yet? :0)

Probably the 34 this year. I learnt from my Japanese sources that it’s a high quality product,
Really sensitive to 0.5g jigheads, which is perfect for what I intend to do ?
