The car is packed, the lure collection has been whittled down, the last few hours of work remain. At 17.30 today I will begin the mammoth 412 mile drive to Hellevoetsluis, home of the World Predator Classic – arguably the biggest lure fishing event ever to take place in Europe.
After reading the official WPC magazine yesterday, I’m really fired up. Not just for the street-fishing competition on Saturday, but just to be involved in this inaugural event itself. Have a read of the article between event organiser, Ross Honey and US bass pro legend, KVD. It really gives you an idea of what might be in the not too distant future. Exciting times for lure angling in Europe!
Obviously, I’m really looking forward to competing in the Street Fishing event on Saturday. I can’t lose. I’m guaranteed to win knowledge, if not a title. Stiff opposition indeed. I’ll try my hardest.
Good luck to all competitors, but especially Team GB. Let’s show the world what we’re made of!
(Ade – your rods are in the car AND I haven’t broken them yet!)

Good luck Adam!
Whittling down a lure collection is far more taxing than any fishing competition. You have already done the hard bit, now for the fun!
Tight lines to all of Team GB.
