LRF Spinning Reels
For LRF and Japanese Light Game fishing styles most anglers opt for a spinning reel sized between 500 and 2000 (including 2500 and C3000). A small spinning reel filled with thin braid, fluorocarbon or ester line offers the light lure angler the easiest option to cast lightweight lures down to 0.5g. Look for a reel in your price range that isn’t too heavy and one with a smooth drag to protect light line from the power of large fish. Daiwa Luvias 12 2506H
The 2012 Daiwa Luvias has landed in Europe. Looks like a great upper mid-range reel from Daiwa. Nice to see a shallow spool on the 2506H. Perfect for light lure fishing with braided line. [seen in-hand at Salon Europeen des Peches en Mer 2013]
