The mileometer said 620 miles, but all except the trip home flew by. Cornwall, you are incredible. More
The weather gods were not best pleased with the group of anglers that ventured out to fish the 2014 Alderney 24 Hour Lure Only Species Hunt. Strong easterly winds hampered everyone's progress the whole weekend but did nothing to dampen everyone's enthusiasm. Alderney has a lot to offer, even in tough conditions. More

It's a week since the kick off of the 2014 Cornish Lure Festival and I have to say I'm not sure I've recovered yet - it was EPIC
After entering the Species Hunt competition for the first time last year, I'd managed to pass on my enthusiasm for the event to mates, Dan and Chris. Estelle enjoyed last year, even as a non-fisher, and was along for the ride again too. So with a rough plan built around the far from perfect forecast, and the two productive marks I'd garnered last year, we all met up in deepest, darkest Cornwall. Exciting! More

Pics from an unforgettable day with the Tight Lines crew down in Brixham. Always happy to be on fish catching duties. Got to meet Keith Arthur in person - legend! Thanks to Ben Field for inviting me. An absolute privilege.
The 2013 Cornish Lure Festival - what a fantastic event!
July 5th saw myself and the other half set off early for Cornwall. With sunny weather and low winds forecast, it didn't look perfect for the Bass comp but for me and the species hunting crew, it looked bloody perfect! More

Dan and I made a trip down to Weymouth today to explore the LRF fishing opportunities and we had a blast on the town quays. We fished all sorts of lures and made a final tally of 8 species More
Very happy with this one. My first ever Goldsinny Wrasse by any method and again I have light rock fishing tactics to thank for it. I swapped back to my lighter solid tip rod and fished a split shot rig, tiny hook and a small section of large Power Isome. This takes me to 22 species this year.
