My First Japanese Rockfish
For those that don’t follow my Facebook updates, I’m currently having the time of my life, on holiday in Japan.
Over the past few years I have done so much research on Japanese fishing styles, visited so many Japanese websites, gawped at countless Japanese fishing products and tried (and mostly failed) to decipher lots of Japanese text, that I have become rather fascinated by Japan and its people. So here I am!
Corkwing on Bug Ant
Nice to land a Corkwing on a pure plastic at the weekend – especially a Bug Ant. Definitely a 9/10 for cool.
Rockfishing With Masa
Masa and I had a great day rockfishing at Kimmeridge in Dorset. It was a beautiful day on the rocks and I finally got a proper ‘rockfish’ for Masa, before he heads back to Japan. Great memories for us both.
I’ll skip over the bit about ‘someone’ losing the immobiliser fob for the van!
LRF on Tight Lines Again
It was June 2012 the last time LRF was featured on Sky Sport’s Tight Lines TV show. All credit to Ben Field for getting the opportunity once again and raising the profile of our sport. This time around uber angling celeb Keith Arthur joined Ben for some early season LRFing down in Brixham. Not sure about the dodgy mush in the hoody…
Success with BLAC

Day on the K&A
Enjoyable day on the K&A with Masa. Covered some miles. Caught some fish.
Nice Canal Pike
Very happy with this one. Went walkabouts yesterday and managed to find a stretch of the K&A with a decent Pike in residence.
