LRF Flounder Weymouth

An hours impromptu LRFing in Weymouth yesterday, led to this nice looking flounder – a PB for me on the lure.

I’m afraid there wasn’t anything exciting about the technique – split shot rig and Isome section – but what was exciting was the fact I saw the fish and sight cast. The fish was part buried in sand but as soon as the worm came bouncing past, the fish sprang into life and nailed it. It was one of those sequences that hopefully stays with you for a very long time.

Thanks to Will and Lolly from Next Generation Angling for highlighting the flounder potential of Weymouth – get the low-down here
