With a crappy forecast ruling out the boat this weekend, Dan and I headed to a remote section of the Kennet & Avon canal for spot of Perch fishing. More
Kennet and Avon Canal
My lure fishing on the Kennet and Avon Canal covers Wiltshire and Berkshire, fishing from Semington in the West to Newbury in the East, with my local stretch being the area around Hungerford. The key ticketed sections I fish from East to West are Hungerford Canal Angling Association, Reading & District Angling Association (Froxfield), Marlborough & District Angling Association and Devizes Angling Association. It’s a beautiful stretch of canal with great views and some spectacular Perch fishing at times. I hope you enjoy the following articles on lure fishing the K&A canal.

BLAC Q5 Hungerford
Exhausted. But what a cracking, fishing filled weekend that was.
Saturday saw nearly 50 anglers descend upon my local stretch of the Kennet & Avon Canal at Hungerford for the 5th British Lure Angling Championships qualifier this year. More
Perching with George Cunningham (HTO)

George’s homegrown HTO brand has made it possible for thousands of people to try out LRF and ultralight fishing, without breaking the bank, discovering the addictive fun of these methods. By all accounts, the HTO Rockfish UL remains one of the best selling spinning rods of all time. So, when my threat of taking George Perch fishing on the Kennet & Avon finally looked like a goer last week, we were both really looking forward to it. More
