LRF on Bournemouth Pier
Dropped in on Bournemouth Pier for an hour after seeing some fish around the pilings. Turned out they were Smelt, including some jumbos. Good fun jigging cut-down Knight Worms for them.
There were large numbers of Spider Crab present. At least I wasn't trying to fish bait!
Lesser Weever on Soft Plastic
Beware: Weever fish are venomous! Treat with care. Look out for the jet black dorsal fin.

Inshore Pollack Fishing
Out on the boat. Obligatory LRF over slack water resulted in Pollack - entirely expected at this time of year. Briefly tried to target one of a small number of early Garfish but this only ended in frustrating, if not entertaining follows. Read more
